The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Heirs Energies, Osa Igiehon, has said the company has increased its oil production from 25,000 barrels per day (bpd) to currently 55,000bpd which is an increase of 30,000bpd.
He added that the company targets 100,000 bpd by 2030.
He spoke on Tuesday in Lagos during the CEO Masterclass on Brownfield Excellence, on the sidelines of the Nigeria Annual International Conference and Exhibition (NAICE 2026) organised by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
The theme of the ongoing conference is: “Thriving in the evolving global energy landscape: collaborating growth and resilience.”
The CEO shared insights into Heirs Energies’ approach to unlocking value from mature assets through disciplined execution, innovation and operational excellence.
He stated that Nigeria’ environment has favourable outlook for increased oil production.
He noted that there are policies that are enabling to oil and gas companies.
He also said that with good community engagements, oil exploration and exploration will continue to advance.
He noted that Heirs Energies adopted novel, pragmatic and community friendly approach that assisted its activities and led to increased production.
He also harped on the importance of technology in oil and gas operations as well as other business concerns.
He reiterated the commitment of the company to advancing Nigeria’s economy as well commitment to human capital development and job creation.
