The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council has announced that its 2027 campaign will prioritise the current administration’s issues and achievements over personal attacks.
The Director-General of the Campaign Council, Senator Abdulazeez Yari, made this known in Gusau, following a closed-door meeting with Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal and traditional leaders.
Speaking with newsmen after the meeting, Yari emphasised Nigeria’s resilience amid numerous challenges, noting the country’s continued unity despite predictions of its disintegration.

Yari, a former Zamfara State governor, clarified that the 2027 campaign will focus on issues and the party’s plans if re-elected, describing Tinubu as a leader who cares deeply for Nigerians.
The lawmaker praised President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to Nigeria’s development and love for the country.
Yari also said the campaign would not involve making new promises but would showcase the administration’s accomplishments.
He stated, “Nigeria is a wonderful country. We have seen many things that some believed would cause Nigeria’s collapse, yet the nation remains united.”
His first official engagement as Director-General involved meeting traditional leaders, whom he described as vital to the campaign’s success due to their close ties to the people.
He emphasised the importance of seeking their support and blessings for the campaign’s success.
