Wikki Tourists FC have concluded the first phase of preparations for the 2026/27 Nigeria National League season, with the club selecting 30 players for the forthcoming Gusau Ahlan Pre-Season Tournament in Katsina State.

The club’s Technical Adviser, Bala Abubakar, disclosed this while speaking with journalists after a training session at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi on Thursday.

Abubakar expressed confidence in the team’s level of preparedness ahead of the tournament, describing it as a crucial part of the club’s build-up to the new NNL campaign.

According to him, the first phase of the club’s player assessment has been completed successfully, while the second phase of the screening exercise will commence after the Gusau Ahlan Pre-Season Tournament.

The coach appealed to the club’s supporters to sustain their prayers and support, assuring them that the technical crew and players remain committed to achieving the club’s ambition of securing an immediate return to the Nigeria Premier Football League.

He also commended the Bauchi State Government and the management of Wikki Tourists FC for their continued confidence and support, promising that the coaching crew would spare no effort in ensuring a successful campaign.

“With the support of our fans, the government, and the club management, we are determined to build a strong and competitive team capable of returning Wikki Tourists FC to the Premier League, by the grace of God,” Abubakar said.
