Omorinsola Babajide has praised her Super Falcons teammates following their thrashing of Egypt in their final Group C match of the WAFCON 2026 on Wednesday.

Babajide was the star of the contest as she provided two assists to help her side secure the important win and also progress to the quarterfinals.

She set up Gift Monday who made it 2-0 before also setting up Uchenna Kanu for the Falcons’ fourth goal.

Following her brilliant performance, Babajide was named Player of the Match.

Reacting after the win, Babajide wrote on her X handle:”THANK YOU JESUS 🥹🥹🥹❤️❤️❤️ I LOVE THIS TEAMMM!!!!”

After the end of the group matches, the Super Falcons finished second on six points thanks to victories against Zambia and Egypt.

Debutants Malawi, also on six points, finished top in the group despite losing 2-1 to Zambia.
