TikTok sensation, Bemi Orojuogun, popularly known as London Bus Aunty, has announced that she now has a bus stop named in her honour in London, thanking Transport for London (TfL) for the recognition.

Orojuogun, a Nigerian-born nurse who became a viral internet personality for her videos filmed beside London’s iconic red double-decker buses, shared the news in a video message posted via her Instagram page on Wednesday, directed at the transport authority and its staff.

“Bus Auntie have her own bus stop. My goodness, I’m very lucky. Thank you so much, TfL. I love you guys. I love everyone that works so hard on behalf of all Londoners. Thank you for working so hard,” she said.

She continued to praise TfL personnel, saying she appreciated the efforts of those who work behind the scenes to keep the city’s transport network running.

“We love you and we appreciate you. These are the people behind the scenes of TfL and I love and appreciate every single one of them. Thank you so much everyone,” she added.

Although the claim has not been independently verified, reacting to the post, TfL commented, “What an honour for us.”

Orojuogun, who has lived in the United Kingdom for over three decades, rose to global fame after her videos of hers posing in front of passing London buses went viral, amassing tens of millions of views across social media platforms.

Her content has since drawn collaborations with TfL, the Mayor of London, and several international brands.
