The Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara has submitted the 2026/2028 Medium Term Expenditure Framework to the State House of Assembly for review and approval.
The Speaker of the House, Martin Amaewhule confirmed the receipt of the document at an emergency plenary held on Thursday, June 25.

After deliberation from the lawmakers, the House later postponed discussions on the framework to a future date and adjourned.
New Telegraph recalls that the House last convened four months ago in February to screen commissioner-nominees forwarded by the governor, after which it adjourned sine die.
