Bauchi State Commissioner for Housing and Environment, Danlami Ahmed Kawule, has spearheaded a political alliance between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) as part of efforts to strengthen preparations for the 2027 general elections.
The alliance was formalised during the inauguration of the secretariat of the Kauran Bauchi Like Minds movement in Bauchi on Sunday.
Addressing supporters, Kawule said the coalition would focus on securing victory for candidates of both parties, especially the APM governorship candidate, Yakubu Adamu.
He said members of the movement would intensify mobilisation across the state through sustained grassroots engagement and voter education.
Kawule urged eligible voters to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and advised youths against engaging in political violence, regardless of provocation.
Former Senator Ibrahim Adamu Gumba welcomed the initiative, describing it as a timely political strategy that would enhance the electoral prospects of the participating parties.
He commended Kawule’s leadership in building the coalition and encouraged members to sustain their mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The event concluded with the presentation of cash support to executives of both parties to facilitate joint political activities and grassroots mobilisation.
