Following his emergence as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the recent primary election for Yola North, Yola South, and Girei Federal Constituency, Engr. Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad has commenced a thank-you visit to party stakeholders and supporters.
As part of the tour, Ahmad Salihijo visited APC Secretariats across the Local Government Areas, where he engaged with party executives, elders, youth leaders, and grassroots supporters on the way forward.
During the visits, Ahmad expressed deep appreciation for the overwhelming support he received and described the primary election as free, fair, and credible.
He assured party members of his commitment to inclusive representation and pledged to attract meaningful development projects to the constituency.
Speaking earlier, the Director General of the Salihijo Ahmad Campaign Directorate, Adamu Ibrahim Wakili, urged party members to remain united as preparations intensify for the 2027 general election.
He noted that Ahmad’s emergence reflects the will of the people and the strength of internal democracy within the party.
Wakili further called on all stakeholders to close ranks and work collectively to secure victory for the APC in the upcoming polls.
Responding on behalf of the party structures, the APC chairmen of the three local government areas unanimously commended the candidate for the visit, describing it as a demonstration of humility and good leadership.
Other stakeholders, including Abba Girei, Abdurauf Modibbo, Bello Baballo, and Adamu Baba Mustapha, also reaffirmed their support for the candidate and pledged to mobilise voters ahead of the 2027 elections.
They collectively urged party supporters, particularly youths and women, to remain steadfast and rally behind Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad to ensure victory at the polls.
