On the build-up to the 2027 general elections, the governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who are currently serving their first term in office, held a meeting in Kebbi State on Tuesday, July 7.
New Telegraph gathered that the meeting, which is hosted by the Governor of the State, Comrade Nasir Idris, is being held at the government house in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.
The Governors at the meeting include Umo Eno (Akwa Ibom), Hyacinth Alia (Benue), Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta), Francis Nwifuru (Ebonyi), Monday Okpebholo (Edo), Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), Peter Mbah (Enugu).

Also, Umar Namadi (Jigawa), Uba Sani (Kaduna), Usman Ododo (Kogi), Lucky Aiyedatiwa (Ondo), Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau), Ahmad Aliyu (Sokoto), and Agbu Kefas (Taraba). Other state governors are represented by their deputies.
The agenda of the gathering has not been made public, but it is understood that it is connected to the forthcoming 2027 general election.
