The Bauchi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has declared its determination to win the governorship, all three senatorial seats, the 12 House of Representatives seats and the State House of Assembly in the 2027 general elections.
The State Chairman of the party, Hon. Ibrahim Kassim Toro, made the declaration during the inauguration of the party’s new state secretariat and the unveiling of Alhaji Abdulkadir Alin Bababa as running mate to the party’s governorship candidate, Hon. Usman Adamu Ahmed Suphi.
Toro said the PDP remained united and formidable with a strong grassroots structure, urging members to intensify door-to-door campaigns to mobilise support ahead of the elections.
He maintained that the party had presented credible candidates and recalled its contributions to infrastructure and development during its years in government.
Governorship candidate Suphi also expressed optimism about the party’s electoral prospects, saying increasing public support indicated that victory was achievable in 2027.
His running mate, Bababa, pledged to work closely with party leaders and supporters to strengthen the campaign and ensure success at the polls.
The new secretariat was inaugurated by Alhaji Isa Dansidi, Secretary of the Abdulrahman Mohammed-led faction of the PDP Board of Trustees, who urged members to remain united and committed to the party’s objectives.
