Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has launched a platform it tagged “House to House Mobilizers” (H2H), a platform that will anchor youth mobilisation.
Although the organisation said it has existed for a long time, its formal launch has made its presence felt in 2026 as the nation prepares for national elections next year.
Speaking at the launch, the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee of the group, Pastor Obu Ereokon, explained that previous elections had “revealed significant gaps in political mobilisation, voter education, grassroots coordination, and sustained engagement between political leaders and the people.”
He added: “These challenges inspired a group of committed patriots to establish an organisation that would strengthen political participation from the grassroots and foster closer interaction between the electorate and leadership.”
“Throughout our journey, we have remained focused on organising citizens, supporting democratic processes, encouraging voter participation, and promoting peaceful political engagement.
“We believe that democracy flourishes when ordinary citizens are informed, organised, and actively involved in shaping the future of their communities,” he explained.
While thanking Governor Bassey Edet Otu for the support given to the group so far, Ereokon claimed that “from a humble beginning,” the organisation now have offices throughout the country.
Highlights of the event included cultural dances as well as the dedication of its newly acquired office secretariat in Çalabar South Local Government Area.
