…Reinforces Commitment To Secure Banking
PalmPay has been named Fintech Company of the Year 2026 by Nigerian media organisation Leadership.
The award recognises the company’s activities in Nigeria’s financial technology sector, particularly its role in providing digital payment and financial services.
PalmPay began operations in Nigeria in 2019 and is licensed as a Mobile Money Operator. The company provides digital financial services to individuals and businesses, including payment services used by micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
Its services are delivered through a mobile-based platform and distribution network, providing an alternative to conventional banking channels for customers who may have limited access to traditional financial services.
The company’s activities form part of the wider growth of digital financial services in Nigeria, where financial technology companies have increasingly contributed to efforts to expand access to payments and other financial services.
Commenting on the award, PalmPay Managing Director Chika Nwosu said the recognition reflects the company’s work in developing accessible and secure digital financial services.
“We are deeply honored to receive the Leadership Fintech Company of the Year award,” Nwosu said. “This recognition is a testament to the trust our customers place in us every day and the commitment of our team to continuously build financial services that are accessible, reliable, and secure.”
The award comes as PalmPay continues its operations in Nigeria’s expanding digital financial services market.
