…Event to celebrate contributions of foreign investors to Nigeria’s economy
The third edition of The Expatriates Business Awards (TEBA) will be held on Thursday, August 20, at the Rotunda Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, will serve as Chief Host, while the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, will be Host.
According to a statement in Abuja on Friday by Tunde Moshood, Special Adviser on Media to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dunoma Umar Ahmed, is expected as Special Guest of Honour.
Also expected are the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mahmud Adam Kambari, members of the diplomatic corps, senior government officials, and business leaders from the international community.
TEBA is Nigeria’s premier platform for recognising the contributions of expatriate businesses, foreign missions, international personalities and migrant communities to economic growth and national development.
Speaking ahead of the ceremony, the Director of Awards, Odunola Abayomi, said this year’s edition marks a significant milestone in strengthening Nigeria’s ties with the international business community.
According to her, the awards have grown into the country’s foremost platform for recognising expatriate investors, foreign missions and international organisations whose investments, innovation and partnerships continue to create jobs, drive technology transfer and stimulate sustainable growth.
“This year’s edition promises to be bigger and more impactful as we honour individuals and organisations whose commitment to Nigeria has inspired confidence in our economy and strengthened bilateral and multilateral relationships,” Abayomi said.
She added that TEBA has become a unique platform for promoting economic diplomacy, celebrating excellence and encouraging greater foreign participation in Nigeria’s investment space.
The organisers said the event will feature award presentations, cultural exhibitions, networking sessions and entertainment to showcase Nigeria’s cultural diversity and partnerships with the global community.
They assured guests of an evening of diplomacy and engagement as stakeholders from government, the diplomatic community and the private sector converge to celebrate excellence and deepen international cooperation.
